The following topics cover many of the most common questions. Call toll free, 877.625.9877 or email Materials@FrescoPandora.com for answers to more specific questions.
| How can I see stock designs? | Return to the Fresco Color homepage by clicking on the glowing logo. At the bottom of the page, you can select samples by market. Stock Designs are also available through the Design Library. | |
| Can I get custom solid colors? | Yes, however, limitations in color matching can be influenced by the substrate plastic material. Also, working with a digital process, not all Pantone colors can be matched precisely. We can expect closer color matching results from an analog Fresco Process, but generally the digital match is more than adequate. | |
| Does Fresco prefer a particular color space? | RGB, CMYK, spot? All color formats can work well. Please see "File Submission Page" on this website. | |
| Can the image be registered to the plastic so the graphic is indexed to the final thermoformed 3D part? | Yes. Targets or guides can be integrated into the final image to help align blanks for thermoforming and fabrication. Also distortion printing solutions are possible, whereby a graphic is pre-distorted so that it will register on a 3D part once thermoformed. | |
| Is the image permanent? Can it be scratched off? | The image will NOT add durability to the plastic substrate. The image is a part of the plastic and not printed on the surface of the plastics, and is as durable as the plastic into which it has been rendered. All plastic will scratch. If the plastic is gouged and material is removed, the image will go with it. However, unlike silk-screened or surface printed images, the image itself will not scratch, peel, or crack. |
