| Patent Information | Fresco Technologies, Inc. grants the purchasers of its imaged plastics a limited license to fabricate materials containing Fresco Images™ using thermoforming methods that fall within the scope of the claims within the patent #6814831. Fresco now has five patents on the Fresco Imaging process as well as eight pending patents. Fresco expects to develop another 20 or 30 patents over the next two years. Fresco is taking an aggressive approach to establishing the Fresco Intellectual Property portfolio with Core Patents, Defensive Patents and Related Patents. The management team, attorneys and advisors at Fresco Plastics fully intend to defend the Fresco intellectual property. | |
| What are the alternatives to Fresco Imaging? | Today, Fresco has not encountered another company attempting to deliver on-demand, high performance graphics in thermoplastics that compare with anything that Fresco is producing. Still, Fresco receives reports from a variety of sources indicating knowledge of the Fresco process, or familiarity with the Fresco technology or something similar. The Fresco response is to ask for a sample. So far, no one has submitted a sample to Fresco of anything similar to what Fresco has developed. Although sometimes examples of products imaged by Fresco, but marketed under various trade names, have been identified. Traditional digital printing methods such as print, mount and laminate and direct digital printing with UV Cured ink systems are appropriate for many applications, but they cannot meet the performance requirements for the applications serviced by Fresco Color. |
