The following topics cover many of the most common questions. Call toll free, 877.625.9877 or email Materials@FrescoPandora.com for answers to more specific questions.
| What graphic imaging process is Fresco using? | Fresco uses a unique patented process to render high performance dye-based images into thermo formable plastic film or sheet. These sheets can then be thermoformed and fabricated without destroying the graphics. | |
| Can the graphic be processed into the backside of a clear plastic? | Yes. Depending on the aesthetic preference, a color profile for a particular clear material may be needed. Plastic Clarity: A little hazy after Fresco Imaging™ and before thermoforming. Depending on the type of plastic specified, the plastic should return to its original finish after forming. | |
| Roll-to-roll continuous feed imaging? | Fresco has processed films (less than .030 gauge) with continuous feed systems. The optimal machinery for such operations is still under design. Today, roll-to-roll Fresco image™ processing is limited to less than 30” widths. | |
| Fresco Imaging and Dye? | The Fresco Image™ is rendered into the plastic by a proprietary, industrial dispersion dye method. | |
| Does the Fresco Imaged plastic sheet need to be dried before vacuum forming? | There is no need for the plastic sheet to be dried after Fresco Imaging and prior to forming. | |
| Analog processing | While cheaper than digital processing, the analog process requires minimums that will depend on your blank size, as well as higher initial set-up costs. Some images may not effectively render in an analog process. |
